Just found this relic of Daihatsu’s failed experiment of selling cars in the USA parked next to me. Last time I saw one of these outside of a junkyard was 2003.

These were pretty popular in Colorado during their run , along with the Rocky. I still see old Charades bumbling around from time to time, though the Rocky is a little more plentiful.

Basically every car you thought had disappeared shows up here in norhern New Mexico and Southern Colorado. That said, I see Rocky’s now and then but this is the first Charade in ages.

If you have the 4 cylinder or the turbo version they're a lot faster than what you expect too.
